Kevin Baum is internationally exhibited and published photographer from Chicago, IL.
Self-taught and shooting digital, his style and portfolio is unique, dreamy and diverse, inspired by the likes of Saul Leiter, Harry Gruyaert and Ernst Haas.
“I’ve walked and run Chicago’s streets on a daily basis since making the move from Wheeling, IL in 2001, although it was in 2017 - when I picked up a camera - that I really started to see and feel it.”
His eye for movement, light, and composition, and sincere empathy for his subjects can be seen in each of his images. Although “candid street” scenes occupy much of his focus, his body of work extends to landscapes, cityscapes and urban geometry.
Today Baum lives in Chicago’s South Loop with his wife Tricia.
