Collection: Lindsay Johnson

Lindsay Johnson is a mixed media artist exploring the complexities of pandemic parenting. What do we explicitly teach and share with our children to prepare and empower them? What do we shield and protect them from, to preserve their innocence and joy? How are adults navigating our physical and mental health during this time? Her current series documents rest and resilience, grief and trauma.

Lindsay graduated with a BFA in Visual Communication from The University of Kansas, and two graduate degrees in Education from National-Louis University. She has received fellowships to study animation at Parsons School of Design and electronic textiles in Berlin, Germany. Lindsay has shown work nationally including Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, Drury University in Missouri, and East Tennessee State University, among others.

Lindsay lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband and two young sons, and teaches art

at the middle school level.
